Crazy Dream (Poem)

It was about 4 Am when I woke up to the screams

The screams of my little sister

The alarm system continued to beep as the screams got louder

I tried to get up and help but I was slowed down by the lean I had encountered

The night before I had drunk about 2 cups

My body felt so stuff

I kept screaming she had enough

I can tell by the screams that he was being rough

My sister not tough

Not tough like me

The man of the house has always been me

I rolled out the bed and tried to force my legs to run

I managed to get down the hall to the steps just to be stunned

Seeing two men throw my little sister around and I couldn’t do anything

Cause the lean had me trapped in a dream

When I woke up it was all a dream
