Jr. (Poem)

I shouldn’t have been verbally and mentally abused

Because I didn’t want to be like you

How do I be myself if I’m pushed to be a exact replica of you

Sometimes I wish we didn’t have the same name

The J.R at the end of my name

Should mean something to you

That I’m not you

I don’t like what you like

Everyone always say stand up for the things you want and like

But how do I stand up to the likes of you

How do a 13 year old boy tell his pops off after so many failed attempts

I guess I’ll put it in this poem

Maybe you’ll finally get it
