Incision (Poem)

It seems like I can only write when I’m in pain

As I sit in the dark trying to find that pain

Hoping it triggers something inside

Finished the rise

But I wanna create more

Did I lose my gift when I laid on that table

No then why don’t I feel able

Without it I’m not stable

Maybe I’m tripping

Maybe I’m not

If I can’t create then I’m nothing but a lazy prisoner on a cot

Not pulling weight inside a prison

I’m feeling enslaved by these incision

Decisions decisions

I thought I had to do it

But maybe not

Maybe not
