Reparations (Poem)

Reparations:

Damn great great great great great great grandma you was slaving on them fields

So I can cop this new crib

Like what will reparations do

Is it going to give me a free tuition to go to school?

Is it going to get my fam out of jail for something that has been legalized?

Your eyes rise

For a nice check

But a check won’t make things correct

Although my pockets get fatter

My life will still be harder

Because my skin is still darker

Although it’s still early my vote is with Bernie

Conclusion:

I came at this topic with a full explanation in Let’s Talk About It: Slave Reparations, if you would fully like to hear me out. I also did this as a video on my Instagram if you want to check it out. Follow this blog for more.
