Book Talk: Deadly Reigns 3

The weak link. This book I didn’t like. It was good in the beginning kinda. The ending to the second one kind of left things shaky. The book had my attention from the past 2 but the storyline just dropped me. The flashbacks bored me. I honestly think the series could have ended with 2 because the third just lacked the explosiveness that the other 2 had. I read through this book and was disappointed.

Other than the storyline throwing me off. The book was average at best. I believe there is a continuation of this series by another author. I may read that book. Maybe not. I’m kind of interested in seeing where another author takes this story.

I don’t know what’s my next read. I seem to always read the older books. I think I want to read a poetry book next. I have read maybe one poetry book in my life. The one I read was milk and honey I believe. It was not my cup of tea. But I’m open to some recommendations. View my previous post until tomorrow. Follow this blog for more Book Talks. Favorite Book Of 2018

Judge This Cover By Brittany Renner

It’s weird I read this book because of the constant hate I kept seeing on social media. I’m the type of person that wants to see what all the controversy is about. So I downloaded it on Kindle and read it. It was about 130 pages so a quick read. Even quicker because I got into it.

I believe I heard multiple stories either on twitter or YouTube of people just bashing it. Most of them would start off with “ I didn’t read it but” That’s when I knew I had to read it. The major problem from the start. Judging off the cover. Like she probably wanted you to. Seen her body and just judged without opening the book. Maybe heard something on a video from someone who didn’t read it and just went off what they said.

I loved it. Seeing the different perspective from the woman’s side. I’m a guy so hanging around guys and knowing what they do to girls and how they treat them. Seeing her change from vulnerability to this Strong woman. Honestly after reading I just got to say Seth was an asshole. I just had to get that out. I don’t want to single out a specific gender but some of us just disrespect and degrade our partners. Like they don’t have feelings. If you not all in the relationship then why be in one? If you want to be single. BE SINGLE! Also trying to use people as our personal build a bear is never the answer. I believe there’s someone out there for all of us. The problem is there is no compass to help us find them.

I have been on and off with reading this year but by far this was the best read. It was a lot of quotes to go by in this book. I recommend you read it. Judge This Cover

Book Talk: Crushing It!

I haven’t done this in a minute, probably because I haven’t read in a while. But I’m still on the same book. I know I should be done by now. But this book for me is really about learning and taking down life lessons that I can eventually use. Especially with my dreams and aspirations of creating a personal brand.

Anyways today’s lesson learned or more of an idea is creating more content for different platforms. With me, I have been creating content and spreading it to every social media platform I have. This is an idea I may try just to see if my fame sort to say or name gets a better buzz. The problem now is figuring out what to post. It’s somewhat hard to create great content without a second opinion on a certain post. So doing that across other platforms is going to be tricky. But I’ll figure out how to manage.

The tricky part about this is coming out that comfort zone as well. He mentions how he just goes for it and how it pays off for him later. Also how sometimes things don’t work out but eventually it does. That determination to fall and get back up. I know I lack that.

Fear of failure: This part of the book stands out the most. When he listed the excuses he hears on a daily I can say I was in the excuses. Especially when it came to the “I’m afraid I’ll get hate comments”.

Hate comments online don’t really bother me. It really depends on the people on the other end. My problem has always been dealing with the opinions of my loved ones. How he targets this and his advice on it is spectacular. Most relatable part of the book I have seen so far. Be back shortly with another, Book Talk.
