Spouse: This is just a bit of storytelling. I am not a fan of domestic violence but wanted to share my opinion on how I feel it’s taken when the roles are reversed. Leave comments about how you feel in the comment section down below.Continue reading “Spouse (Poem)”
Nobody likes to get hit. Why should you hit someone and not be expected to get hit back? Why are men deemed as abusers for defending themselves? Why don’t women be held accountable for their actions? Why is it acceptable if she hit him?
I’m no abuser but I’m just confused as why am I a bad human if I defend myself. By no means is this blog about abusing anyone but I’m tired of seeing these same situations. If we were to count all the times a woman has slapped their boyfriend then who really are the abusers in the relationships.
Why aren’t women held accountable for bullying men with the constant hitting with the same excuse as to she’s only a woman. Even saying that out of this context would be looked at as sexist. So why use that now? She’s just a woman when she hit you to make it seem like she’s weak. But when the shoe is on the other foot I’m a poor excuse for a human being.
This blog is merely a response to when the male figure is attacked physically and he defends himself. Just making that clear. As for when it’s the man beating on the woman, I think he deserves the time he gets. If anyone is in that position, I think you should get out. That’s not love. You don’t physically and verbally abuse someone if you love them. That’s all I have to write on this subject. Like, comment and subscribe to my mailing list. Another video. Trying to get better at recording. It’s still a working progress. But this piece was my opinion on domestic violence. I often feel like we ignore the abuse that a woman portrays because of the simple narrative that men are stronger. I feel there’s a deeper feeling of being physically attacked no matter the genders. I’m rambling but that’s the opinion I tried to portray. Like, comment, and subscribe to my youtube channel. View some of my previous post. Why is it funny when a woman beat on a man?
Why is it not talked about when a woman constantly slaps a man?
When he walks away
Like most people say
He is still attacked
When he hits back
Why is it then wrong to hit your spouse?
Because a woman is not as strong
Right that old saying that is constantly looked down upon in other cases
But in this case, it’s perfectly fine, right?
I thought it was a woman can do everything a man can do right?
So it’s different when it comes to an altercation
She’s weak when she hits me
And I’m the aggressor when I hit her
When will this change
No one likes to be hit especially by their spouse

I wish I had never seen the way mom use to beat on you
You use to tell me how it was okay because you were a man
And it was easy to take that type of pain
But at some point between the slaps, punches, and kicks
You happened to lose your shit
And you hit back
Now you locked behind bars and I just wish you would come back
I was always on your side
I just thought you should know
It’s crazy how a man is punished for giving back a blow
The world doesn’t see this as a problem because when things like this happen women are deemed as not strong
Any other discussion about equality saying that would be wrong
This seems like a fight you could never have won
I just miss you, dad,
